What is Wireless Pentesting?
Wireless pentesting is mostly about testing wire-less networks or Wifi networks. Nowadays, wifi is everywhere. Go out or just search for wifi networks inside your device and it will give-out list of wifi networks in range. Now there are high chances that few of them will not be configured properly, few might be having weak passwords which can be cracked easily by bruteforce attack or you may also find few with WPA security which is same like having an open wifi. The WPA is totally outdated now and contains severe security flaws which leak the password keys easily to attacker.
Its very obvious that you keep your wireless networks secure. Once an attacker gets the access, all the devices connected to that Wifi network are under threat. WiFi pentesting is all about testing for such security flaws, looking at the packets which are send and received by a WiFi Network, analysing such packets and finding sensitive information and much more.
