What is Network Pentesting?
Similarly like any other pentesting, Network Pentesting include testing of networks to find vulnerabilities or security flaws. There are automated tools which can scan a network and based on signatures, vulnerabilities are detected. But this scans are not enough because scanner cannot identify new security flaws and it requires manual pentesting.
Its testing includes ports scanning to get information about open and closed ports, OS fingerprinting to know whether it is updated or not, identifying protocol and much more.
